Once in Kavarna, local buses and taxis serve the town and nearby resorts, but a car is useful for exploring the surrounding area, including Cape Kaliakra and the beaches.

The best time to visit Kavarna is from late spring to early autumn, roughly May to September. Summer, especially July and August, is the busiest period, with warm sea temperatures and lively resorts. June and September offer milder weather and fewer crowds. Winters are cooler and quieter, with many seasonal businesses closed. The town's rock festival usually takes place in summer, drawing additional visitors.
