About Vitosha
Vitosha is a mountain area close to Sofia, with trails from Dragalevtsi and Simeonovo and ski lifts at Aleko in winter. It suits hikers, families in summer and skiers from December to March. The centre is 30 to 45 minutes away by bus or taxi, longer at rush hour. Bring a warm layer even in July, as the summit can be 15 degrees cooler.
